Bureau Veritas Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Bureau Veritas is a company specialized in testing, inspection and certification founded in 1828. It operates in a variety of sectors, including Building & Infrastructure (27% of revenue), Agri-food & Commodities (23% of revenue), Marine & Offshore (7% of revenue), Industry (22% of revenue), Certification (7% of revenue) and Consumer Products (14% of revenue).

A former technician shared in a review "Working at Bureau Veritas has been the worst experiences I have had. The work is simple enough. However you are expected to make unrealistic quotas with no help from management. You are told that the schedule is Monday-Thurday, 40 hours a week, this is untrue. There is a lot of problems among coworkers and the managers make the problems worse. I strongly suggest you avoid working here.

"This place is just like any other corporation. The people at the bottom doing the grunt work don't get paid fairly and don't get raises and they hire 'executives' left and right. LABORATORY ANALYST (Former Employee) says

"Bad working environment. Its completely with narrow minded people.most of them work there just because they find no other options especially senior staff..... they can't raise there voice because they know for a fact management will not change. Pre-Processing Analyst (Former Employee) says

"Maxxam Analytic's (Bureau Veritas) modus operandi is to hire a horde of contractors in the spring and fire them in November. There is no security or advancement."

"No se tiene en cuenta al empleado y sus necesidades. Le va bien a quien esta en la rosca. Se castiga al que presenta alguna queja. No se capacita al empleado solo se envian unas diapositivas de algun tema importante y se le obliga a firmar como si hubiera sido formalmente capacitado."

Laboratory analyst 1 (Former Employee) says

"stressful workplace especially during summer. I haven't recieved any good training from supervisors and they were all busy with their work. they expect you alot although they don't train well. maybe just couple of hours of training from supervisors and the rest you have to learn while working. everyday overtime and also working during weekends. outdated equipments. not good to work there more than 3 months."

"I worked at Bureau Veritas full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Wrong executives are made wrong decisions, which made the business down."

Current Employee - Engineer says

"I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time for less than a year Cons: High stress and toxic working environment. Good luck asking for help; everyone is so busy and when you do ask for help it feels like a burden. High turnover rate = team always understaffed = heavy workload. Teamwork doesn't exist because it seems like everyone hates their job and the company. BV focuses more on making profit then taking care of their employees and their wellbeing. There's no management either so you're left on you're own with a long list of to-dos. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be overworked like a Chinese factory for average pay."

"I worked at Bureau Veritas full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Senior management are clueless and struggle to tell the truth. Training is not specific to the job role and over the top to the point you spend more time training the doing your job. They say they care about employees they don’t, they will lead you one way to stab you in the back in a second. If you cared about your employees maybe you wouldn’t have such a turn over - my staff were treated like slave labor and when they left they tried to offer deals to stay but it’s too late"
